What's up with Robert De Niro and cheap horror films all of a sudden? Following Godsend is this preposterous little chiller about a widower (De Niro) and his daughter (Dakota Fanning) who move to a big creepy house in upstate New York following mommy's suicide. Shortly thereafter, the little girl in our story seems to find solace in an imaginary friend. Fans of '70s shockers know it won't be long before this "imaginary friend" starts bumping people off. Preposterous, I tell ya. 100 minutes R.
