After skagged-out Scots (Trainspotting) and blood-crazed zombies (28 Days Later), director Danny Boyle tries his hand at a "family" film (well, sort of). It's a dream come true for two poor British boys when a huge sack of loot from a botched railway robbery literally falls into their hands. The only problem is, the UK is switching over to the euro, and they only have one week to divest themselves of this fortune. This is a delightful little comedy/drama that never becomes cute or sentimental and remains inventive and surprising from start to finish. A minor miracle of a film. 97 minutes PG.
