Stagecoach

This 1939 Western by John Ford is one of the most remade, reinterpreted stories in film history (though, to be fair, it does borrow a bit from 1932's Grand Hotel). Under threat of an Apache attack, a random assortment of travelers in a small New Mexico town board a stagecoach to Lordsburg. Along the trail they pick up the mysterious Ringo Kid (John Wayne), an outlaw who has escaped from prison looking for revenge. As their journey progresses, the stories of the various passengers are revealed. An absolute classic. Double-featured with 3:10 to Yuma. 96 minutes
