The Transporter was by no stretch of the imagination a quality piece of cinema. It was, however, a propulsive guilty pleasure for lovers of glossy action flicks. Now, rough and tumble British actor Jason Statham is back as the fast-driving, kung fu-kicking hero for hire. Unfortunately, Hong Kong helmer Corey Yuen, who directed the first film, isn't on board for this one. The fight scenes suffer a bit as a result, and the script (something about a kidnapping in Miami) has zero plausibility. Still, the whole thing moves like a bat out of Hell, providing plenty of over-the-top distractions for ADD-afflicted audience members. 88 minutes PG-13.
