Luis Buñuel's 1972 situationist satire about the upper crust has been muted a bit by time, but it still looks great. Story follows a group of shallow revelers who attempt to convene a dinner party. Thanks to a string of increasingly surreal complications, nobody gets to eat. That's about it for plot, but the witty dialogue and trippy dream sequences make for essential viewing. In French and Spanish with English subtitles.102 minutes PG.
