What happens when you combine French weirdo director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and formerly "fatigued" comedian Dave Chappelle? Well, you end up with a happily entertaining concert film that weaves comedy, music and sketches amidst an entertaining behind-the-scenes doc. Kanye West, Erykah Badu, Common and Mos Def are among the topnotch musical acts. The film never really reaches for the sort of audio/visual excess you might expect, but it does present a positive message of harmony behind Chappelle's racially charged comedy. 100 minutes R.
