From the Far East come three short horror films from three extreme filmmakers: Japan's Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Audition, One Missed Call), Hong Kong's Fruit Chan (Durian Durian, Public Toilet) and Korea's Chan-wook Park (Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance). In "Dumplings," a retired actress longing to regain her youth seeks out a doctor's "special" dumplings. "Box" introduces us to a beautiful female novelist, still guilt-ridden about the death of her twin sister, who recieves a mysterious invitiation to meet at the site of her sister's demise. "Cut" finds a film director abducted by a vengeful stranger and forced to make an impossible choice. In Cantonese, Korean and Japanese with English subtitles. 118 minutes R.
