This 1973 concert film captures the legendary California concert that became known as "the black Woodstock." The event was designed to commemorate the Watts riots and ended up attracting over 90,000 people. Among the parade of awesome performers enshrined on film are Issac Hayes, Albert King, Mavis Staples, The Bar-Kays, The Emotions and a little-known funnyman by the name of Richard Pryor. Newly restored in a slick 35mm print! Part of the Guild's Richard Pryor tribute. Double-featured with Richard Pryor: Live on Sunset Strip. 102 minutes
