Neil Young: Heart of Gold

Jonathan Demme returns to the concert film arena a mere couple decades after Stop Making Sense. Here, he captures a two-night performance by Neil Young at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The film, like the performer, is simple and soulful. The only drawback is that--despite the title--it's based on Young's excellent but unsuccessful album Prairie Wind and will probably only appeal to die-hard fans. 103 minutes PG.
