Metal: A Headbanger's Journey

Sam Dunn is a 30-year-old anthropologist who wrote his graduate thesis on Guatamalan refugees. Instead of pursuing the more traditional route of his profession, this dedicated hard rock lover decided to study a different sort of culture. Traveling the world (Britain, Germany, Norway, Canada, the U.S.), Dunn assembled this amazing historical and cultural history of heavy metal music. Glimpsed in both performance and interview are legends like Alice Cooper, Ronnie James Dio, Lemmy (Motörhead), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Bruce Dickenson (Iron Maiden), Kerry King (Slayer), Vince Neil (Mötley Crüe), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) and tons more. 96 minutes R.
