Los Lonely Boys: Cottonfields and Crossroads

It seems a tad early in their career for these 2005 Grammy-winning purveyors of "Texican rock 'n' roll" to rate a full-length documentary. Nonetheless, by sticking close to their colorful Texas roots and by giving viewers lots of toe-tapping live performances to choose from, director Hector Galan has assembled a likable, if slightly worshipful, barrio-to-riches story. If you're not a fan of the band's conjunto-influenced music, however, the film won't offer much in the way of attraction. 90 minutes PG.
