In December of 1997, Julia "Butterfly" Hill climbed up a redwood tree in Northern California and made a lot of logging company executives very mad. She stayed up there for more than two years, trying to save the surrounding forest. Some people admire her. Some people think she's nuts. Though the makers of this documentary clearly sympathize with Ms. Hill, they are careful to present all sides of the issue from fanatical supporters to jeering locals.
