To make this mesmerizing documentary, the filmmakers camped out at the Golden Gate Bridge for an entire year, filming sun-up to sun-down. What they captured were most of the two dozen suicides that happened there during 2004. The film is a slightly disturbing, but mostly hauntingly beautiful look at the whys and wherefores of suicide and the eerie allure of the famous landmark. Interviews with friends, family members and the occasional (believe it or not) survivor give remarkable insight into this often taboo subject. 93 minutes R.
