Renée Zellweger stars in this charming, low-key look at the life of best-selling children's book author/artist Beatrix Potter. Much to the chagrin of her Victorian-Era parents, our not-quite-so-young heroine is more interested in writing imaginary tales about bunnies than in getting married to a proper land-owning gentleman. In landing her first publishing contract, our free-thinking, independent-minded gal meets up with idealistic working man Norman Warne (Ewan McGregor). The two fall in love and begin a quaint courtship. The film is both a beautiful little love story and a graceful fantasy, utilizing simple animation to bring Potter's imaginary animal companions to life. 92 minutes PG.
