Student Films Across America

This nonprofit student film festival is trekking across North America, hitting 50 cities in two months and showing off the best student-made short films from around the nation. In addition to the great selection of films, a local student filmmaker will be featured at each city. Albuquerque's selection is "Illumination," directed by Justin Golightly, a student at the University of New Mexico. His film is about how everybody wonders where their life is going, and whether they've made the right choices or the completely wrong ones. In it, a man dives into his own mind to discover the meaning of life. With the exception of the beginning and end, the film was shot entirely on green screen in a garage. 120 minutes
