Writer/director/star Steve Buscemi (Trees Lounge, Animal Factory, Lonesome Jim) contributes one of his best films with this remake of Theo van Gogh's Dutch drama of the same name. The film concentrates entirely on a contentious interview between a bitter journalist (Buscemi) and a sexy, self-destructive actress (Sienna Miller, actually contributing something worthwhile for a change). At first, Buscemi's character tries to nail Miller's with a host of insulting questions. Surprisingly, the gal holds her own, resulting in a compelling game of cat and mouse right up until the too-tidy twist ending. 83 minutes R.
