ASUNM SouthWest Film Center and Basement Films are joining forces once again to present four nights' worth of live music and film/video/whoknowswhat. Artists from Albuquerque, Santa Fe and New York will be showing off their work in this third annual audiovisual mashup. By way of example, NYC artists Sandra Gibson and Luis Recoder will be around Friday performing an untitled piece involving two 16mm projectors, two electric humidifiers, a large pane of glass and an original score by Olive Block. Stick around after the show on Friday and Saturday to catch a free screening of Vice Records' new film Heavy Metal in Baghdad, a documentary about, well, heavy metal musicians in Iraq.
