Not only does this film have nothing to do with the original Troll (starring Sonny Bono), it doesn't even have any trolls in it! It was shot in Utah by an Italian director who couldn't speak English. The story concerns a young boy who moves to the tiny town of Nilbog. (Spoiler alert: That's "goblin" spelled backwards.) Soon enough, the locals are all trying to get our hero and his family to eat foodstuffs covered in green goo. Turns out they're all goblins in disguise, fattening the family up for dinner time. Though it never even made it to theaters in its initial run, a newly discovered 35mm print has turned this into a cult classic, with fans dubbing it "the best worst movie" ever made.
