Director Kelly Reichardt (Old Joy) returns with another deeply contemplative drama. This one stars Michelle Williams as Wendy, a young woman driving to Ketchikan, Ala., looking for summer work at a fish cannery. When her car breaks down in Oregon and her dog Lucy goes missing, Wendy confronts a series of increasingly dire economic decisions with far-reaching repercussions. Though intimate and emotional, the film deals with its issues sympathetically, exposing the generosity and depth of human beings during tough times. 80 minutes Unrated.
