Guild Cinema returns to spend another summer in the dark with the 6th Annual Festival of Film Noir. This second week of the fest begins on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Chinatown (1974) and Scandal Sheet (1952). On Monday and Tuesday, it's Pitfall (1948) and The Unholy Wife (1957). Wednesday and Thursday it's All Night Long (1961) and Two Living, One Dead (1961). You should see ’em all, but my top picks are All Night Long (a Jazz Era version of Othello featuring Charles Mingus and Dave Brubeck!) and Scandal Sheet (newsroom noir from a novel by Sam Fuller). Log on to guildcinema.com for a complete schedule of 2-for-1 double-features.
