Matt Damon gives his all to this odd, true-life biopic about an executive at chemical giant Archer Daniels Midland who blew the whistle on some dicey corporate malfeasance. Damon's character isn't so much a suit-and-tie-wearing hero as a briefcase-carrying loon who just can't keep his overactive brain and loose lips in check. While working as an undercover spy for the FBI, our bumbling protagonist's adventures go from comic to tragic and back again in the blink of an eye. Mixing deadpan drama with crackpot humor, writer/director Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven) ends up with something that reads like a wacky '60s spy caper crossed with Office Space. 108 minutes R.
