Hart's War

A desk-jockey officer (Irish hotshot Colin Farrell) finds himself captured by Nazi troops and thrown in a prison camp during World War II. When a pair of black Army Air Corps pilots are added to the camp, the American troops are thrown into racial turmoil. Our greenhorn officer eventually finds himself forced to act as legal council when one of the African American fliers stands accused of murder. Can there be justice behind the walls of this prison camp, or does a mysterious American commander (Bruce Willis) have an agenda of his own? This combination of war movie, prison drama and courtroom thriller gets pretty preachy at times, but the setting and the acting are authentic enough to entertain history buffs. 125 minutes
