It's hard to find such a condensed bundle of talent and craziness as Phil Spector. The legendary musical genius behind the "wall of sound" gets his own biopic, tracing him from the greatest hits days of the '60s to his 19-years-to-life sentence for the murder of B-movie actress Lana Clarkson. Director Vikram Jayanti scores a rare, pre-prison interview with Spector, in which the hitmaker talks about his place in music history. Concert footage, trial videos and other materials are interspersed, making the proceedings somewhat chaotic. But Spector is such a fascinating, mad, contradictory figure that it hardly matters.102 minutes Unrated.
