Commercials make this look like just another Nicolas Cage action flick. Which it is, but it's wacky enough to be an interesting one. Cage plays a dead criminal who escapes from hell so he can drive around in a muscle car hunting the members of a satanic cult who have killed his daughter and kidnapped his baby granddaughter. Also, there's a demonic accountant (William Fichtner) out to get him. Preposterous? Absolutely. But there are enough car chases, explosions, bullets, gratuitous nudity and rampant gore to keep audiences hooting in R-rated glee. 104 minutes R.
