To give credit where credit is due, Something Borrowed imagines a scenario weightier than most romantic comedies. Shy wallflower Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) is in love with the fiancé of her brash best friend (Kate Hudson). One drunken night, she sleeps with him, leading to a complicated moral quandary: break up her BFF's impending nuptials or sacrifice her own happiness. Alas, however, the film is just another rom-com filled with situations that would be instantly alleviated if any one of the characters were capable of saying one honest thing to anyone at any time. FULL REVIEW:Wishy-washy romantic comedy will leave you blue by Devin D. O’Leary (5/5/2011). 103 minutes PG-13.
