Elizabeth Olsen (younger sis to Mary-Kate and Ashley) takes a star turn in this Sundance Film Festival-approved indie drama. She plays a confused, fragile, increasingly paranoid young woman who escapes from a rural cult and moves back in with her yuppie sister (Sarah Paulson). While trying to adjust to her new surroundings (Jumping into bed with your sister and her husband while they're having sex? Frowned upon in polite society.), our multi-IDed heroine juggles a dark series of flashbacks (which may or may not be strictly true). Unburdened by her sisters' popsicle-stick figures and Keene-painting eyes, Olsen is a vibrant figure on screen. She also proves to be an instinctive actress, as the slim script offers scant dialogue on which to rely. The story doesn't add up to an awful lot, but Olsen's haunted performance is hard to shake.102 minutes R.
