Steven Spielberg directs this motion-capture-animated adaptation of the long-running comic book series by Belgian artist Hergé. The script is reverent to the originals, folding several stories together. Front and center is Hergé's most famous story arc, The Secret of the Unicorn, in which plucky boy reporter Tintin goes on a quest for lost treasure involving a mysterious ship's model, an ancient tale of piracy and a drunken sea captain. The movie is filled with breathless action and plays like an animated version of "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles"—which isn't such a bad thing.FULL REVIEW:Steven Spielberg double-dips with a couple of Christmas blockbusters by Devin D.
