Old-school martial arts madness returns to the Guild Cinema. This year's triple feature starts off with 1982's Legendary Weapons of China, in which Gordon Liu (Kill Bill) fights off Boxer Rebellion assassins with a dizzying array of ancient Chinese weapons. Liu returns in 1979's comic action flick Dirty Ho as a masterful Manchurian prince who manipulates a bumbling jewel thief. The night closes out with Chang Cheh's legendary 1978 kung fu flick Five Deadly Venoms—about a secret clan of fighters, each with their own deadly animal-based killing style. All films are in Cantonese with English subtitles.
