Wondering why times are missing?

Time Out

This existential character study is basically an intelligent, subtle and (some would say) darkly humorous look at unemployment, French style. When a French businessman named Vincent loses his job, he's so ashamed that he can't seem to confess the situation to his wife and kid. So, he does the next best thing and invents a new job. Unfortunately, the painstaking time and detail that goes into maintaining this illusion means that Vincent's fake job actually takes him away from his family more than his real job ever did. For their part, Vincent's distracted family seems hardly to notice. This one's a tad slow for most audiences, but foreign film afficionados will find much to admire in this tense, Euro-angst drama. 127 minutes
