Samsara

From the director and producer of Baraka and Chronos comes another experimental, dialogue-free "documentary" in the Koyaanisqatsi mold. We're treated to a welter of gorgeous images from around the globe: Indian dancers, Tibetan mandalas, Brazilian garbage dumps, Thai ruins, Saudi Arabian skyscrapers, Jerusalem's Wailing Wall. What's it all about? Life, death, rampant consumerism, "we are all one" interconnectedness? Your guess is as good as mine. But, damn, is it pretty. 100 minutes
