Spanish director Juan Antonio Barona (The Orphanage) directs Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor in a different kind of scary movie. In this inspired-by-a-true-story tale, Watts and McGregor play parents vacationing with their young kids in Thailand during the monstrous 2004 tsunami. In the wake of the disaster, half the kids end up with mom, half with dad. Separated and fearing the others are dead, the parents struggle to survive amid the massive devastation. Harrowing but life-affirming. 114 minutes PG-13.
