British director Michael Apted continues the documentary journey begun in 1964's Seven Up! What started as interviews with random British schoolchildren has turned into a profile of modern life--its ups, its downs, its joys and heartbreaks. In this, the seventh installment in the venerable documentary series, it's the small moments of ordinary humanity that stand out. Several cast members return after dropping out for an installment or two, and it's great to see what they've been up to. It's like a homecoming reunion if you've seen previous installments, but there's plenty of archival footage to bring newcomers up to speed. 144 minutes (Opens Monday 3/25)
