Kestrel's Eye

This intimate documentary from filmmaker Mikael Kristersson shows viewers one year in the lives of two European falcons nesting in a 13th-century church on the outskirts of suburban Sweden. Without relying on narration, score or other artificial means of documentation, Kristersson gives us an unaccentuated bird's-eye view into the world of these remarkable animals. Peering down on the world from lofty heights, this meditative, lyrical nature film also manages to cast a unique perspective on human nature as seen through the eyes of our animal cousins. 86 minutes
