The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari/Un Chien Andalou

The Albuquerque Film Club assembles a double-feature of silent film shockers. First is Robert Wiene's stylish 1920 thriller about a sinister hypnotist. It's considered one of the best horror films of all time and a sterling example of German Expressionism. Next up is Luis Buñuel's infamous surrealist short from 1929. This disjointed collection of occasionally shocking, "free association" images isn't my favorite, but it's a certified piece of art. 102 minutes
