The International Uranium Film Festival—founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2011—makes its way to Albuquerque. The goal is to inform the public about nuclear power, uranium mining, nuclear weapons and the health effects of radioactivity. There's a great deal of variety in this two-day festival, which will screen shorts, features, documentaries and even a romantic comedy from Russia. Several of the film directors will be there in person. Go to guildcinema.com for a complete list of films and times.
