The International Uranium Film Festival--founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2011--makes its way to Albuquerque. The goal is to inform the public about nuclear power, uranium mining, nuclear weapons and the health effects of radioactivity. There's a great deal of variety in this two-day festival, which will screen shorts, features, documentaries and even a romantic comedy from Russia. Several of the film directors will be there in person. Go to guildcinema.com for a complete list of films and times.
