Pig Death Machine

Underground auteur Jon Moritsugu (Scumrock, Fame Whore, Mod Fuck Explosion) delivers his first made-in-New-Mexico effort. This absurdist, camp-humored "screwball horror" film uses the old "contaminated pork" gimmick to transform a bubble-headed brunette into a dangerous genius and a punk rock botanist into Doctor Dolittle for rhododendrons. Utilizing some lo-fi sci-fi effects, gross-out stop-motion animation, a film-within-a-film joke and lots of self-depricating humor, Moritsugu and collaborator/wife Amy Davis have created a psychotronic freakout for the ages. Mortisugu and Davis will be on hand for a post-film Q&A. 82 minutes Unrated. (Opens Tuesday 2/4)
