Albuquerque's first transgender-based film festival throws the spotlight on five feature films. There's the documentary Transvisible: The Bamby Salcedo Story, which relates the life and times of LA Latina activist Bamby Salcedo. Too Cold Out There Without You follows Rev. Christopher Fike as he navigates his sexual transition and reexamines his role as a priest. The concert film Turning takes a look at the collaboration between musician Antony Hegarty and videographer Charles Atlas profiling 13 remarkable transgender or queer women. Open Up to Me is a Finnish drama about a trans woman who meets and falls in love with a suburban family man. The closing night film, Melting Away, is an award-winning drama about an Israeli woman who tries to reunite with the family who knew her as a young man.
