A Parisian Trio

Guild Cinema and the Albuquerque Film Club take a trip though French film history with a trio of famed shorts. It all starts with 1902's "A Trip to the Moon," the gloriously art-directed sci-fi fantasy by Georges Melies. That's followed by 1926's "Menilmontant," a grim, surrealist drama directed by Dimitri Kirsanoff. It comes to an end with 1956's "The Red Balloon," an endearing, Oscar-winning fantasy set in Paris' Menilmontant district. 86 minutes Unrated.
