A foul-mouthed former gymnastics bronze-medalist (cowriter Melissa Rauch of "The Big Bang Theory") must fight for her local celebrity status when a new young athlete's star rises in her small Ohio hometown. This dark-gray (not quite black) comedy/drama aims for Bad Santa territory, but doesn't quite stick the landing. It's often quite funny and occasionally hits the emotional mark, and Rauch proves she's got the chops for tougher assignments. But, despite some raunchy laughs, the formulaic script never pushes things quite far enough. FULL REVIEW:Rude comedy/drama looks for humor in failure, but doesn’t entirely succeed by Devin D.
