Wondering why times are missing?

Roger Dodger

In this darkly comic "Swingers gone sour," Campbell Scott does a phenomenal job as a big city ad writer/Lothario who teaches his younger brother the fine art of female seduction over the course of a single night on the prowl in Manhattan. Scott's non-stop patter reveals a charming, irrisistable and, in the final tally, loathsome ladies man with the life cycle of a shark--if he stops talking, he'll die. This zippy debut from writer-director Dylan Kidd is obviously calculated for maximum actor attraction, but the performances (including a couple doozy cameos by Jennifer Beals and Elizabeth Berkley) are certainly worth it. 104 minutes
