Occasionally experimental filmmaker Michael Almereyda (Nadja, Hamlet, Cymbeline) writes and directs this biopic drama about famed social psychologist Stanley Milgram. In 1961 he conducted a series of radical behavior experiments that tested ordinary humans' willingness to obey authority. (He also came up with the concept of "six degrees of separation.") Peter Sarsgaard (Boys Don't Cry, Jarhead, "The Killing") stars as Milgram. Winona Ryder, Taryn Manning, Lori Singer, Anton Yelchin, John Leguizamo, Kellan Lutz and Anthony Edwards round out the cast.98 minutes PG-13.
