In this controversial drama (based on the book by Bonnie Nadzam), writer-director-actor Ross Partridge stars as a middle-aged loser who essentially abducts a neglected 11-year-old Chicago girl (Oona Laurence) and takes her on a road trip to rural Wyoming. The subject matter is a conversation starter, but Partridge is careful to craft it as a bittersweet relationship pic between two very sad individuals.
