Wondering why times are missing?

In 1952, dockworker and fifth-grade dropout Ousmane Sembene dreamed of becoming a storyteller for a new Africa. This vibrant documentary traces the unbelievable true story of this "father" of Senegalese cinema, a self-taught novelist, director and producer. The film's producer/co-director Jason Silverman will be at the theater in person to introduce the film and participate in a post-film Q&A on Friday, March 11, and Saturday, March 12. In English, French and Wolof with English subtitles. 86 minutes Unrated.
