Shot in 1972 and not released until much later (if at all), this schlockadelic piece of monster movie cinema is among the first independent genre films shot in New Mexico. The tale of an archeologist struck by an errant meteorite and transformed into a raging lizard monster (don't ask) was famously spoofed on "Mystery Science Theater 3000." Now it's being resurrected on Albuquerque screens—possibly for the first time. Actor (and former Corrales mayor) Gary Kanin will be there alongside Frank Larrabee, who gave the film its immortal theme song "California Lady." It's a Z-grade movie reunion!81 minutes Unrated.
