A grand total of 24 features and more than 50 short films are sparkling in the spotlight of this year's 10-day SWGLFF. It all ends on Sunday, Oct. 16, with the Closing Night film Pushing Dead, a boundary-pushing black comedy about a struggling HIV-positive writer who deposits a birthday check from his mother, unwittingly pushes his bank account over the limit and loses his insurance coverage. And there are plenty more films before that. Comedies, dramas, documentaries and even a collection of horror shorts make up 2016's roster of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual film offerings.
