This dazzling collection of stories and images from around the world captured Best Documentary honors at the Beijing International Film Festival. In the tradition of Koyaanisqatsi and Winged Migration, this heavily visual theatrical experience uses the work of renowned photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand's (famous for his stunning aerial imagery) to create a collage portrait of the interconnected nature of the human race. Amid the stunning visuals are interviews with all sorts of people--from an African-American boy in jail to a South American farmer to Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Arthus-Bertrand and a team of journalists asked over 2,000 people in 60 countries the same 40 questions, giving viewers a chance to observe differences and similarities the world over. 143 minutes Unrated.
