Sin Fronteras Film Festival 2017

This annual, student-organized film festival is devoted to cinema from Latin America and by Latin American filmmakers. Since its funded by community donations and run by student volunteers, all screenings are free to the public. Seating is, however, limited--so show up early. Things start on Friday with a screening of the traditional Venezuelan drama Dauna, Lo Que Ilevva el Rio (Gone With the River) and wrap up on Sunday with the Brazilian film Neon Bull (about a cowboy who dreams of the fashion industry). In between there will be a visit from Mexican director Teresa Camou, speaking about her documentary SUNÚ (Maize). For a complete list of films and times, to to (Opens Friday 2/24)
