Absolutely Anything

Terry Jones wrote and directed this inessential, kinda-sorta "Monty Python" reunion. John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Michael Palin and Terry Jones voice a group of meddling space aliens who decide to "test" the planet Earth by giving one, ordinary human (Simon Pegg) the godlike power to do absolutely anything. He uses it to make his dog talk (Robin Williams in his final role) and romance his downstairs neighbor (Kate Beckinsale). Despite the wealth of talent on screen (or at least behind the microphone), this broad, rambling misfire goes virtually nowhere with its broad premise. 85 minutes Unrated.
