From comedy filmmakers The Lonely Island comes this oddball comedy about a young man kidnapped as a baby and raised by a couple of well-meaning but clearly nutty survivalists (Mark Hamill and Jane Adams) in a remote bomb shelter. Freed by the FBI at age 25, he's reintroduced to his biological parents (Matt Walsh and Michaela Watkins). He has a hard time adjusting, of course, but his biggest hurdle is that he can no longer watch "The Adventures of Brigsby Bear," a live-action kids show that he grew up watching—which, as it turns out, was created entirely by his fake father. A mixture of Napoleon Dynamite, The Room and Be Kind Rewind, this self-consciously strange comedy looks at the dangers of nostalgia and the joys of fandom. 100 minutes PG-13.
